Albert's Guide to Better Grades
Layout of the Paper
- You have 120 minutes in your exam, so spend roughly 12 minutes on each of the 9 questions, so you have some time to look over your answers at the end.
Part (h) of these questions have 10 marks.
All other parts usually have 3 or 6 marks for each answer.
You also have to do the Coursework A and B experiments which add up to 35% of the exam (10% for A and 25% for B)
Study Tips
- Make sure you learn all the diagrams.
- Learn all the mandatory experiment diagrams and learn how to label them.
- Make sure you know any definitions you come across in class.
- Anything from the whole junior cert science course may come up so its best to study everything.
- Don't spend a lot of time studying stuff you know , spend most of your time studying things you don't know or find hard
- Study in short bursts of about 30 mins. the earlier you start the less you'll have to do per night.
- When you get closer to the exam itself the best way to study is to just do past exam papers , you'll find that a lot of questions will repeat themselves.
